NE Intermediate RWS Costs
Cost is $595.00* for the entire RWS event including all courses taken, meals (breakfast and dinner Fri and Sat, breakfast on Sun), camping or lodging from Thurs, June 10th until Sunday PM, June 13th , evening events, gatherings and workshops attended. After June 4, cost will be $650.00. We expect this event will sell out; so if you are clearly coming, don’t delay. Courses are first come-first served.
*For those who have attended a previous RWS, you will have first choice of Y10 courses desired.
We are presuming you are bringing your own boat and necessary paddling gear, helmets, tows, compasses and charts as needed. We will have limited supplies of these items for sale at the event, but if you are sure you want a new helmet, that perfect Northwaters tow, a waterproof chart, etc, then let Tom know ahead of time so your items can be set aside for you; if you wait till the last couple of days, it may not happen. If you are looking for a new NDK with the 10% event discount, then for sure let Tom know ASAP and he’ll bring it down to you.
The RWS can accommodate some kayak rentals at $60.00 per day; let us know your height, weight and interest. Limited availability, RM boats. Also try The KayakCentre, Wickford, RI.
A Special Slot for ConnYak, RICKA, NSPN and Sebago Canoe Club.
In appreciation for past support, the RWS organizers make the following offer to the four above-listed paddling clubs. The RWS will provide each club with one (1) slot at a cost of $175 to be auctioned off, given away or otherwise used to support your clubs’ activities. It is the club’s governors’ decision on use to further your club purpose or that of paddlesports in general. Also please let us know who ended up with your club’s slot, and whether the club or the attending paddler is responsible for the $175 fee. Courses are first come, first served. Any questions, email tom@maineislandkayak.com.
The one or two day attendance question.
There may be some LIMITED opportunity to attend for only 1 or 2 days but preference is definitely to those able to make the full 3 day commitments in order to enhance our community. We will not be able to make a commitment of availability or courses until after May 20th.
Thanks for thinking of our RWS. Hope we’ll get a paddle wet in June!
The forms below (all pdfs) include important details about the event, the water venues, and forms that we we need to receive, filled out, from you, in order for you to attend. We hope to see you at the Symposium. Good Journeys!
